we are Fabbrica C
Our circus offers freaky characters and cross - gendered performancesWho we are
Fabbrica C emerged in 2016 as a shared intuition—a collective gesture envisioned by Francesco Sgrò, Riccardo Massidda, Maristella Tesio, Teresa Noronha Feio, and Luca Carbone. Over time, this journey has been enriched by new bodies and new perspectives: first Mattia Mele, followed by Giulia Racca and Davide Visintini.
Fabbrica C is not a closed group, but a living organism: it grows, it transforms, it breathes.
Artistic Vision
From its very inception, Fabbrica C has evolved as a fluid and permeable structure, a space where the circus is not an end in itself, but a realm of possibility.
A tool within a broader research that traverses the body, placing it in relation to circus apparatus, objects, words, politics, and society.
Language is born from the encounter between disciplines, from the friction between forms, and from the desire to inhabit unstable and porous territories where the boundaries between genres dissolve.
The Performance
We believe profoundly that the performance is, first and foremost, a social and political act—a suspended moment in time where a community gathers around the artists and, through their gestures, a collective dialogue takes shape.
In this shared space, audience and performer are not separate entities: together, they become the very meaning and essence of the performance itself."

Research — Puntata Zero
Since 2017, Fabbrica C has been developing Puntata Zero, a project dedicated to research within contemporary circus, realized in collaboration with numerous national organizations.
Puntata Zero is a space for encounter, listening, and sharing, where the time for research is reclaimed from the urgency of production and restored to experience, exchange, and collective thought.
Commitment and Vision
At our heart lies the desire to support the growth and recognition of contemporary circus in Italy as an autonomous artistic language. To nurture a critical consciousness, to open spaces for dialogue, and to foster community: these are the vital conditions for true and profound growth.
In 2017, together with Onarts and Rasoterra, Fabbrica C founded CORDATA F.O.R., further broadening its perspectives on the research, creation, and dissemination of contemporary circus.
BELLO!
2022 saw the debut of BELLO!, a creation marking a new phase in Fabbrica C’s artistic path. The stage is inhabited solely by invited artists: six acrobats and a prose actor.
BELLO! It is a choral device, a convergence of differences, and an act of radical openness. The performance is currently touring various European festivals and, from March to May, will be in residence at Berlin’s Chamäleon Theatre, solidifying the company’s international presence.
